2026 CLIO HEALTH AWARDS

Content creator and Entrepreneur Nadya Okamoto Receives Honorary Clio Health Award

 

NEW YORK – (JUNE 10, 2026) – Clio Health announced the winners of the 2026 Grand Clio
Health and Clio Health Of The Year awards at a live ceremony hosted in New York City this
evening. The program, which celebrates creative excellence in the highly specialized fields of
health and wellness, awarded Grand Clio Health trophies to 10 different countries including
France, Pakistan, Colombia, Spain, Greece, Brazil, India, Canada, Nigeria, and the United
States.


The Grand Clio Health Award, the competition's highest honor, was presented across nineteen
entries that the Clio Health jury selected as head and shoulders above the rest of the year’s
submissions. These winners were announced on stage, with representatives from each entrant
on hand to accept the award.


“Creative excellence in health and wellness has the power to inspire action and drive
meaningful change,” said Emily Seal, Executive Director of Clio Health. “This year’s winners
represent eleven countries, showcasing the power of creativity to address some of the industry’s
most pressing challenges. Their work reflects a remarkable diversity of perspectives and ideas
that are advancing health communications and setting new benchmarks for excellence on a
global scale.”

Clio Health Awards were also given out on stage for Advertiser of The Year, Agency of the Year,
Independent Agency of the Year and Network of the year. These winners were determined by
identifying the entrants with the most statue points earned for more work submitted across all
medium types.

Also at the show, Calvin Anderson received the Honorary Clio Health Impact Award, in
recognition of his leadership in advancing global health equity. As an NFL player, investor, and
philanthropist, Anderson transformed his experience as the first active NFL player to contract
malaria into a powerful platform for advocacy and awareness. Through his partnership with
United to Beat Malaria, he has championed sustained funding for malaria prevention and
treatment, using his voice to highlight the urgent need for vaccines, medications, and
international support.


Later in the show, the Women’s Health Champion Award, presented by Weber Shandwick, was
awarded to Nadya Okamoto, recognizing her leadership in advancing menstrual equity and
expanding access to period care. At just sixteen years old, Okamoto founded PERIOD, a
youth-led nonprofit that grew into one of the largest menstrual health advocacy movements in
the world, raising awareness of period poverty and stigma. She later co-founded August, a
sustainable and inclusive period-care brand dedicated to improving access to products and
education while helping normalize conversations around menstrual health.


CVS Health also took a moment to recognize the 2026 Class of Clio Health Champions, which
recognizes leaders and changemakers across health marketing and related fields whose
creativity, collaboration, and leadership help solve complex challenges and drive meaningful
impact across the health ecosystem.
