THE CHALLENGE
In addition to meeting the usual requirements of quality, reliability and cost efficiency, Statoil’s photography partner must comply with the rigorous health and safety, licencing, and security requirements necessary for working on the business’ onshore and offshore operations. Specific industrial experience and a detailed understanding of Statoil’s brand guidelines are needed to produce high quality imagery that will support a wide range of corporate communications initiatives.
HOW WE HELP
AP Assignments has been the photographic partner for Statoil since 2012, having been appointed following a competitive tender process. Assignments range from staff portraits and technical infrastructure photography shot on remote oil-rig locations to coverage of senior executives and Statoil’s charitable initiatives. Recent locations have included Scotland, Angola, USA, Norway and Tanzania.
The geographic presence and flexibility of AP’s network of specialist photographers allows us to respond to a myriad of requests, often in challenging locations, where our local knowledge is invaluable. Our single point of contact approach ensures that all photographers are fully briefed in line with Statoil’s brand guidelines.
The resulting photos are used across all corporate communications touch points, from the website, to annual reports, corporate social responsibility reporting, press coverage and internal communications.
